MILSTE’s Applied Structured Trade & Commodity Finance Programme from March 26-28th, in Hong Kong, is designed for mid level and senior executives who want to unlock the secrets of structured trade finance in back-to-back and front-to-back trade financing.
Programme Structure
This interactive hybrid credit programme aims at raising the skills of trade finance professionals and corporate bankers in structured trade financing. Participants will acquire the technical knowledge and global perspectives of structured trade financing mechanisms in breadth and depth so that they can customize and execute specific structured trade finance transactions to meet the needs of their clients. The programme is mainly based off real case studies and group discussions to ensure that participant’s learn not only from the trainer, but also from their peers.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn a plethora of new methods and knowledge to apply to their jobs in trade finance, including applying the knowledge of trade, risk analysis and structured trade finance techniques in structuring trade finance transactions on back-to-back deals, and applying structured commodity finance based on export receivables-backed financing solutions to support clients’ commodity and trading activities. Participants will also learn how to apply structured commodity financing based on warehouse receipts and inventory financing techniques to assist farmers, traders, and commodity trading activities.

The Trainer
The trainer for MILSTE’s Applied Structured Trade & Commodity Finance Programme has over 28 years of intensive banking experience in trade finance operations, structured trade & commodity finance (credit), credit & marketing (SME lending), corporate banking lending, loan restructuring and loan syndications. He has held VP(H) & Group Head/Team Head appointments in both Singaporean and American banks. He has 26 years of experience training corporate and commercial bankers.
