---The EU-China Sustainable Urbanisation Park

September 19th -20th, 2012

Venue: Centre Albert Borschette, Brussels

The Mayors’ Forum, as first annual flagship event of the EU-China Urbanisation Partnership, will be held on 19th -20th September, 2012. It will get together EU and Chinese Mayors, local decision-makers, city planners, business and NGOs willing to share experience in moving towards sustainable, integrated and efficient solutions in the area of urban management. The President of the European Commission, Mr. José Manuel Barroso and the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will participate in this conference, which will be held at the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee.

The thematic event “The EU-China Sustainable Urbanisation Park – From Concept to Reality” will be held at 9:00-12:00 p.m. on 19th September 2012. It will focus on the know-how and experience that European business can bring to China with the purpose of promoting sustainable urbanisation.
