Project data
  • Planning area: 500,000 m2
  • Footprint (residential, office, commercial): 85,000 m2
  • Roads: 8,000 m2
  • Green parking roofs: 115,000 m2
  • Green zone: 292,000 m2
RENEWABLE ENERGY

Photovoltaic technology converts sunlight into electricity and produces no air pollution.

PV DATA:

Solar radiation incident: 1,460 – 1,640 kWh/m2

Yearly system losses: 80%

Electricity produced on horizontal planes: 1,168-1,314 kWh/kWp

By installing solar panels on the roofs of the buildings (85,000 m2 ) it’s possible to produce 6,100 MWh/year
that supplying the 40% of the overall electrical residential demand.

SUDS: Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems
  • Source control;
  • permeable paving such as pervious concrete;
  • Storm water detention;
  • Storm water infiltration;
  • Evapo-transpiration (ex. green roof).
RESOURCE → WATER

Provide a more sustainable approach than what has been the conventional practice of routing run-off through a pipe to a watercourse.

WATER DATA: Average consumption: 120 l/day per person Annual consumption: 44 m2/ year Water residential demand: 650,000 m2 /year .

Is needed to realize 37,000 m2 for the wastewater treatment and approximately 45,000 m2 of detention basins .
