Florian Schmied presented the Sustainable Urbanisation Park SUP

The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the Chinese Association of Development Zones and the Sino-Europe Industry and Business Association invited to the China-EU Sustainable Urbanisation Conference which was held successfully in the Wuqing Development Zone of Tianjin on 12th September 2012.

The Vice Mayor of Tianjin, Li Wenxi and the Deputy-Head of the Delegation of the European Union to China, Carmen Cano, joined the meeting and gave the keynote speech. Leading industry experts and high-level Chinese and European officials spoke about recent political developments, ongoing projects and successful business models within the Sustainable Urbanisation Business. Huang Taihe, Vice Chair of the China Association of Development Zones and Massimo Bagnasco, Chairman of the Construction Working Group of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and one of the most important supporters of the “Sustainable Urbanisation Park” SUP, were two of the key speakers of the conference. Panel 1 “Sustainable Urbanisation Planning and Solutions” was moderated by Li Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the China Association of Development Zones. Florian Schmied, CEO of ESI Euro Sino Invest group, moderated the second panel, dealing with the topic “Opportunities in the Urbanisation Market”.

Both, Mr Schmied and Mr Bagnasco, presented the SUP, the first demonstration project of the EU-China Partnership on Sustainable Urbanisation and offered the European and Chinese companies as well as related organizations the opportunity to deliver their products, technologies, and know-how in the urbanisation sector through this project.
