OUR TEAM

All our team members graduated from the few prestigious Chinese foreign language universities and worked many years with each other before we decided to set up a studio to formalize our partnership. As we all understand the importance of providing reliable and consistent high quality interpretation services, we made sure in advance that all the potential partners are eqaully qualified and responsible professionals. Over the years we have been honored to translate for thousands of events, including the visits to China by Secretary General Ban of the UN, President Kim of the World Bank, President Kuroda of the Asian Development Bank, the Australian prime minister's delegations, the South African President Zuma, Singapore Premier Lee Hsien Loong, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Nobel-prize economist Phelps, Vice Chancellor of Germany, former US Treasury Secretary Geithner and the Chinese official visits overseas including the Vice-Chairman of CCPCC and CSRC leaders.

We believe in life-long learning and team spirit. We each have accumulated many years of experience in interpretation. But we never dare to be complacent and always do our utmost to prepare knowledge for the meetings and share glossaries with one another.

Zhang Yuting

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Zhang graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2000, and has passed the China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (Level II). She is now a language expert with the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UN Women, and UNESCAP.

Since 2007, Zhang has been providing simultaneous interpretation services for Senior Officials’ Meetings and Ministerial Conferences on Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), Asian Development Bank-China Negotiations on Annual Loan Planning meetings, and UNESCAP Negotiations on China-Mongolia-Russia Cross-border Transportation. Zhang has also provided interpretation services for senior officials of foreign governments and international organizations during their visits to China, including Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Takehiko Nakao, current president of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, former president of the ADB, and leaders of the US Department of Agriculture.

Lin Jinpan

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Lin studied at The Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, Beijing Foreign Studies University, leaving with a master's degree in simultaneous interpretation. She has been working as a simultaneous interpreter for over ten years. Having interpreted at over 1,000 conferences, and with a combined simultaneous interpretation time of over 1,500 days, Lin has gained extensive simultaneous interpretation experience。

Lin attended as a judge for the Simultaneous Interpretation Group of the National Interpretation Contest in 2008 and 2014. She interpreted the press conferences at the tennis venue during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Lin also provided consecutive interpretation services for Mr. Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, during his visits to China, as well as simultaneous interpretation services for Mr. Edmund Phelps, winner of the 2006 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, Mr. Robert Shiller, winner the 2013 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, Mr. Hartmut Esslinger, a pioneering industrial designer for Apple Inc., and Mr. Roger S. Christiansen, director of the American television sitcom Friends. Lin has also interpreted many ministerial conferences.

Wang Xiaoying

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Xiaoying graduated from the Department of English Literature and Linguistics, Peking University, with a Master's degree and has been working as a EU accredited conference interpreter for a number of international organizations and multinational companies, such as the various directorate-generals of the European Commission, UN agencies, EIB, General Electric, AIG, Amadeus etc. With nearly 15 years experience, Xiaoying has accumulated a vast repertoire of knowledge from the many industries she has worked with, and has fostered the capability to fast process new information and handle unrehearsed situations with flawless performance. Xiaoying has worked as the booth interpreter for The Confucius Institute during the Vice Presidential visit to Tanzania providing high quality interpretation in an environment of many unexpected technical difficulties. Similarly working for European Investment Bank’s loan appraisal missions in a harsh natural environment was handled with equal professional dedication. Xiaoying is also a traveler and a keen learner of the different cultures around the world. Other than English, she can also speak moderate German and French.

Song Daheng

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Daheng obtained her master's degree from the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, Beijing Foreign Studies University. In the course of her profession, she has travelled to nearly 30 countries in four continents and worked for more than 1000 conferences, gaining rich interpretation experience and building a diverse clientele.

Song has provided consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services for more than 10 years for the UN delegation to China, various foreign government delegations to China and overseas visits of the Chinese officials. To date her career highlights have included working for clients such as; Michel Sidibé, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations; Dr. Jim Yong Kim, World Bank President; former UK PM Tony Blair; UK parliament delegations; the Deputy President of South Africa; the Prime Minister of Singapore; the President of Afghanistan; Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania; Governor of the Australian State of Victoria; Vice Prime Minister of Thailand; Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; numerous Nobel Prize winners in Economics, and masters of investment.

Xiao Mingyan

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Xiao Mingyan has more than ten years of interpretation experience. She obtained her master's degree in interpretation from the University of International Business and Economics and was trained to be a qualified interpreter by the EU JICS. She once worked as a teacher in China University of Petroleum from 2006 to 2011.

Over the years, thanks to her diligence and commitment, she has successfully won the trust of many organizations including the multilateral organizations such as ILO,UNEP,UNDP,UNESCO,FAO,ADB and the World Bank;the Chinese government agencies such as MOF, MEP,SACAC and NDRC; the top notch universities and research institutes, trade associations and MNCs. She has acquired a lot of knowledge and experience in the fields of transport, architecture, finance, energy, education, sustainable development, statistics, labor, health and law among others. She has been honorably invited to work for many high level visits to China such as those by the former US Treasury Secretary Geithner, the Afghanistan's President, the Vice President of South Africa,and the Former US President Carter.

Ye Sen

Simultaneous Interpreter & Partner of BOYA International Studio

Ye, a graduate of the China-EU Senior Interpreter Training Center of University of International Business and Economics, is an EU certified interpreter for international conferences, and has passed China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (Level II). She once worked as a senior simultaneous interpreter and a senior lecturer in translation and interpretation, for the Conference Interpreting Department of China Translation and Publishing Corporation, and held an intermediate title. Ye has participated in many state leaders’ meetings and national events as simultaneous interpreter and consecutive interpreter. She was once the interpreter for the State Councilors, such as Mr. Dai Bingguo and Madame Liu Yandong, Mr. Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce, Mr. Zhang Ping, former Chairman of the NDRC, and Mr. Liu Binjie, Director-General of the General Administration of Press and Publication. Ye attended as an interpreter for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Shanghai World Expo, and 2011 Shenzhen Universiade, and worked as a simultaneous interpreter in the headquarters of the ILO, UNDP and WFP.
